Renita Lowery Parrish

After graduating from WKU, I moved to Charlottesville, Virginia and worked at a law firm as a legal secretary, then worked at State Farm before finally ending up working for the University of Virginia where I've been employed since August 1983. I'm responsible for processing the student financial aid within our department. I have so many memories of my high school years that I can't recall one that stands out more than another, but there was the time when (I think) Gretchen Britt & Twila Whitlow hid my clothes from me while I was in gym class; I was close to tears until I found them. And I'll never forget when someone purposely pushed me on Stephanie Ray (to instigate a fight) and then we ended up fighting (like men) in the hall but later on became close friends in college (WKU). Thank goodness we grew up!

For some reason, I've always dreamed of going to Puerto Rico and one of these days, I hope to make this dream come true.

UPDATE: I visited San Juan, Puerto Rico (June 2014), so next on my bucket list is to visit ARUBA and THE GRAND CANYON!

UPDATE: Visited THE GRAND CANYON in 2019, but a trip to ARUBA was canceled due to COVID, so it's still on my bucket list.

Half Moon Cay-Bahamas, the Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. John) and St. Maarten

To take a cruise or an all-inclusive family vacation to a tropical island in the Eastern Caribbean or Greece that would include not only my immediate family, but to also include ALL of MY siblings, nieces & nephews as well as all of our grandkids since family events are usually with my husband's side of the family. Don't get me wrong, I love my in-laws dearly but they're somewhat conservative while my side of the family tend to be more fun and CRAZY!
