Stephen Wilson Obituary

Stephen Alan Wilson died Tuesday, November 28, 2023. He was 63 years old. Steve was born September 3, 1960, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where he spent the majority of his life, until moving to Houston where he met his wife, Cristie Young Wilson. They were married in 1988. Steve and Cristie returned home to Kentucky, where he lived the remainder of his life. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Wilson and Wilma Jaggers Wilson; his sister, Valerie Vincent (Kevin); and his grandson, Grayson Kinsey. He is survived by his wife of 35 years; five children, Cameron Kinsey (Lexi), Jessica Minor (Ike), Rachel Wilson, Emily Logsdon (Noah), and Nathaniel Wilson; four grandchildren, Aurelia Kinsey, Aurora Kinsey, Blanton Kinsey, and Wilson Logsdon; and his brother, Gary Wilson (Debbie). During his lifetime, Steve wore many hats, including being a loving husband, a wonderful father, a former General Manager of Gary Force Toyota, and a co-founding partner of Q Coffee Emporium. But none as important or fulfilling as the role of Pastor-Teacher of Grace Community Church of Bowling Green. God used Steve to touch countless lives with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ while allowing him to lead and shepherd the same congregation for 22 years. Steve dedicated his life to “the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12). In most recent years, his greatest passion was working to secure the gospel for the next generation. Visitation will be Sunday, December 3rd, 3:00-8:00 PM, at Grace Community Church in Bowling Green. Funeral Service will be Monday, December 4th, 11:00 AM, at Grace Community Church, with a private burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Steve’s passion and legacy by making donations to Grace Community Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
